10月26日，苹果发布新款M5 MacBook Pro。外观与M4版本一致，内部仍采用单风扇、单热管及双NAND闪存布局。Max Tech Blackmagic实测显示，M5机型顺序读取速度为6323MB/s，顺序写入速度为6068MB/s，分别比M4的2031MB/s、3293MB/s提升211.3%与84.3%，首次突破6000MB/s门槛。测试推断苹果升级了SSD主控。同时，M5芯片高负载峰值99℃，日常温度低于M4。
