法国国家金融检察院13日下午传唤被巴黎刑事法庭判处五年监禁的前总统萨科齐，告知服刑时间和地点。据法国媒体报道，萨科齐将于10月21日起在巴黎一所监狱入狱服刑。
据《费加罗报》等多家媒体报道，萨科齐已对判决结果提出上诉，坚称无辜，但上诉不具有缓刑效力。因此，他必须入狱服刑。上诉听证会将于2026年3月在上诉法院举行。
