10月13日，中国联通发文称，联通eSIM预约通道正式开放。截至发稿，已有超过6万人预约。
针对eSIM预约渠道开放一事，联通客服回应称，目前中国联通已经具备eSIM手机业务办理能力，后续计划在eSIM（iPhone Air）手机（在华）正式发售且业务开通后开展相关商业试验。
对于具体业务办理等待时间，联通客服表示暂不清楚手机发售时间。
