台风“桦加沙”外围环流导致台湾出现强降雨，9月23日，暴雨造成花莲马太鞍溪堰塞湖溢流，洪水冲进居民区，造成人员伤亡。截至25日上午10时，当地救援部门通报新增1人死亡，累计15人死亡、31人失联。
截至目前，当地多部门已出动417人投入救援，累计救出633人。（总台央视记者 李峥）
