8月26日，美网男单正赛首轮，中国香港球员黄泽林3-0战胜科瓦切维奇，跻身次轮。这也是公开赛年代第一位收获大满贯正赛胜利的中国香港球员。美网官方赛后在祝贺其胜利时，称香港为“国家”，但在不久之后将“his country”修改为“Hong Kong”。
美网官方起初在社媒写道：“黄泽林成为第一名他的国家在公开赛年代取得大满贯胜利的选手。”但在不久之后，文案中的“his country”修改为了“Hong Kong”。
