这是中国男篮时隔10年再进亚洲杯4强，此前，在2017年亚洲杯和2022年亚洲杯上，中国男篮均止步8强，2017年71比97不敌澳大利亚男篮，2022年69比72不敌黎巴嫩男篮。
自1975年首次参加亚洲杯，一直到2005年，中国男篮连续16届亚洲杯登上领奖台，14次夺冠，两次季军。参加亚洲杯至今，中国男篮16次夺冠，是夺冠次数最多的球队。
