当地时间4日早晨，美国新泽西州泽西市纽波特车站的一列通勤列车下方轨道突然起火。
一段发布在社交媒体上的视频显示，火势产生的浓烟进入列车车厢，车内的乘客被迫撤离，而车厢外的火焰已经几乎从轨道上窜到了车厢顶部。纽约和新泽西港务局在一份声明中表示，现场有13人因吸入烟雾接受治疗，其中9人被送往医院接受进一步评估。目前火灾起因正在调查中。
