近年来，乐都区加大冷凉蔬菜产业投入，全区已建成蔬菜标准化生产基地27个，蔬菜种植面积突破12万亩，产值突破14.5亿元，产量占青海全省的40%以上。乐都的彩椒、西兰花、土豆等蔬菜还搭乘中欧班列，出口到中亚国家。“乐菜”成为当地实现乡村振兴、带动农民增收的重要产业。
