据统计，本届东亚杯是中国香港代表队第5次参加东亚杯，他们依旧没有获得东亚杯首分。
此前在2003年东亚杯上，他们面对中国和韩国分别打进1球，而在2010、2019与2022年3届东亚杯上，他们均一球未进遭遇三连败，本届赛事，他们在对阵日本的比赛中打进1球。
