北京时间6月9日，莱万宣布在现波兰主教练普罗别日任期内退出国家队。对此，在对阵芬兰的赛前发布会上，接替莱万成为波兰队长的泽林斯基谈及了此事。
当被问及是否就此事与莱万有过交流，泽林斯基表示：“没有，我没有和莱万多夫斯基交谈过。”
他继续说道：“来国家队的球员都是想为国家队奉献心血。我总是怀着极大的喜悦来到这里，这不会改变。”
