网红方脸猴“大壮”，突发疾病死亡

据合肥野生动物园21日晚发布的消息，黑帽悬猴“大壮”突发疾病，经全力抢救无效，于当日下午离世。经国内多方兽医专家来园会诊，初步诊断死亡原因为心肺功能衰竭。

Dazhuang, a male black-capped capuchin who became an internet sensation for his square face and quirky expressions, has died of cardiopulmonary failure despite intensive medical treatment, Hefei Wildlife Park announced on Wednesday evening. The diagnosis was confirmed after consultations with multiple veterinary experts.

今年“五一”，合肥野生动物园的黑帽悬猴“大壮”因一张方得出奇的国字脸和丑萌的表情突然破圈走红，成为全国网友的手机新宠。有网友戏称，“看着面熟，但想不起来像谁。”

Dazhuang captured millions of hearts during this year's May Day holiday with his uniquely "ugly-cute" appearance. Social media users joked that his face looked oddly familiar, though no one could quite say who he resembled.

不过，5月21日，有网友在社交平台发帖称，前往合肥野生动物园灵长区没见到“大壮”，只看到一张告示，称“大壮”生病正接受治疗，落款日期为5月21日。随后，当天中午，合肥野生动物园官方微信号便发布消息证实“大壮”生病，但并未提及具体病情。

“以人类的眼光看‘大壮’，可能觉得它比较丑萌，但它的长相在黑帽悬猴中属于美男子。”合肥野生动物园灵长区保育员张春雪说，黑帽悬猴中，脸越方、体型越大的地位越高，越有资格当猴王。雄性黑帽悬猴的脸型会更方一点。

According to Zhang Chunxue, a caretaker in the primate zone, Dazhuang's square jaw — a mark of dominance among male black-capped capuchins — made him stand out. "In their world, a broader face and larger build signal higher status. Dazhuang was essentially a 'handsome gentleman' in his troop," she said.

“大壮”是合肥野生动物园内一只来自南美的黑帽悬猴。2015年，“大壮”和弟弟“小帅”一起“落户”合肥。 2024年，“大壮”与雌性黑帽悬猴“小美”喜结连理，并生下一只活泼可爱的小黑帽悬猴。

Dazhuang arrived at the park in 2015 with his younger brother, Xiaoshuai. In 2024, he "married" a female capuchin named Xiaomei, and the couple later welcomed a playful baby monkey.

“‘大壮’的娱乐活动比较丰富，喜欢攀爬、摘树叶、翻草地、抓昆虫等。它最喜欢吃的水果是橘子，也喜欢吃红枣、葡萄干、核桃等小零食。”张春雪说，黑帽悬猴弯弯的尾巴灵活有力，可以将自己悬挂于树枝上，从而解放双手用于取食或者做其他事。而它们也是为数不多的会使用工具的猴，会用石头砸核桃。

黑帽悬猴生活在安第斯山脉东部的热带与亚热带森林里。下颚有力，可咀嚼大型水果、蔬菜、种子与各类动物，上至青蛙、蜥蜴、鸽子与黄鼠狼，下至无脊椎动物。它们在进食时会发出很大的响声。黑帽悬猴喜欢霸占领地，为此会攻击其他猴子。能通过嗅觉判定自己的领地，通常用尿液洗手，之后会用自己的毛发来擦拭双手。

Native to tropical and subtropical forests east of the Andes, black-capped capuchins are omnivorous primates with powerful jaws capable of crushing large fruits, seeds, and even small animals like frogs and lizards. They often identify their own territory by scent and practice "urine washing" — rubbing urine on their hands and then grooming their fur.
