当地时间5月6日，思科系统展示与加州大学圣巴巴拉分校合作开发的量子网络纠缠芯片原型，并宣布在美国加州圣莫尼卡正式启用量子实验室。
思科表示，其正在打造的量子网络技术可使量子计算提前数年实现实用化。
