5月4日，美国游泳系列赛劳德代尔堡站女子100米蝶泳决赛，沃尔什打破了自己在预赛中创造的世界纪录。
预赛中，沃尔什游出55秒09，超过了她去年6月在美国奥运会选拔赛半决赛中创造的55.18秒的世界纪录。
决赛，沃尔什游出54秒60，再次刷新世界纪录。
