5月3日，海南昌江黎族自治县教育局就网传“两名初中女学生在凌晨结伴‘离家出走’后失联”发布情况通报称，经核实，两名女学生为昌江黎族自治县在读初中学生，因家庭沟通等原因“离家出走”，期间借宿在朋友家。两名女学生已经回家，并于4月28日返校上课，目前处在父母监护范围内，学习生活恢复正常。
