近日，新疆哈密市伊州区野马泉西矿区取得金矿找矿突破，探明一处金矿，探明金金属量5857.68千克，金品位平均每吨矿石1.60克左右，最高品位达每吨40克。
根据国家《矿产资源储量规模划分标准》，中型金矿的储量规模划分标准为“大于等于5吨且小于20吨”，这座金矿的规模达到了中型金矿的标准。
