4月21日，谷雨节气，在济南不少公园景区和街巷，人们可闻到类似丁香花的浓香味。寻香觅踪，发现是苦楝树在怒放。
高大的苦楝树开出成千上万的紫色小花，宣告春天即将告别，夏天已不远。 古书《荆楚岁时说》记载：二十四番花信风“始梅花，终楝花”。
