尽管任天堂的新主机对前代产品具有广泛的向下兼容性，但Labo VR套件并未在列。
外媒Roadtovr联系任天堂，确认任天堂在2019年推出的Labo VR纸板头显配件不兼容Switch 2游戏机。
由于Switch 2游戏机尺寸相对于初代有所调整，因此无法装入Labo VR纸板头显配件。
值得一提，2024年任天堂申请了一项类似Labo VR的配件专利，设计更接近可插入主机的简易Cardboard式装置。但专利不等于量产产品，这可能只是常规技术布局。
