2006年，张曼玉参观东京六本木森艺术中心，在看到张国荣的写真照后，久久凝视不忍离去，当时的张国荣已经离开了三年时间。
张曼玉和张国荣是多年的好友和搭档，在多部影视作品中均有合作，而且都是经典作品，比如《阿飞正传》、《家有喜事》、《东邪西毒》等等，张曼玉曾经在公开场合多次感激张国荣在拍戏时对自己的照顾和帮助，他的离去也让张曼玉非常难过。
