据中国驻缅甸大使馆消息，截至当地时间3月31日17时，缅甸强震已造成3名中国公民遇难、14人受伤。伤员正在加紧救治。
中国驻缅甸大使在接受采访时表示，目前救援工作面临余震不断、交通通讯设施中断、持续高温等困难，使领馆会加紧协调，力争更多的物资能够送到灾民手中。
