格隆汇3月25日｜Alphabet旗下自动驾驶部门Waymo周二表示，目标是明年在美国华盛顿特区推出完全自动驾驶的打车服务。Waymo已于今年1月开始将车辆运往华盛顿特区，并将在未来几周内将更多车辆运往该市，力争最快于明年开始提供付费商业服务。Waymo表示：“我们还将与政策制定者密切合作，正式确定无人驾驶所需的法律框架。”该公司的全自动叫车服务Waymo One每周在旧金山、凤凰城、洛杉矶和奥斯汀提供超过20万次付费乘客出行，2024年的付费出行次数超过400万次。
