3月11日，日产汽车宣布现任CEO内田诚将于3月底卸任，4月1日起由首席规划官伊万·埃斯皮诺萨接任。日产汽车认为，现任CEO内田诚对公司业绩低迷以及本田汽车、日产汽车合并谈判搁置负有重大管理责任，因此决定更换CEO，由负责商品企划等工作的伊万·埃斯皮诺萨接替。
