3月9日，全国政协委员、中国乒乓球协会副主席王励勤提议，将运动员群体纳入普法人群当中。
王励勤表示，体操、跳水等项目是小年龄项目，运动员年龄非常小，存在法律意识不强、认知水平不够等问题。
对此王励勤提议，应该给予这类群体法治宣传，帮助提高年轻运动员法律意识，有助于运动员自身规范言行。同时，也让他们懂得用法律武器保护自身权益，避免人身伤害。
