3月7日，据上海市总工会官网，上海产生了112名全国劳动模范和先进工作者推荐人选，乒乓球奥运冠军樊振东作为唯一运动员入选。
樊振东是继王励勤、许昕之后，第三位获得奥运冠军的上海男乒选手，也是上海男乒奥运单打冠军第一人。
通过各省市与运动员的双向选择后，樊振东于2022年正式落户上海。
