瑞士陆军参谋长托马斯·苏斯利（Thomas Süssli）向媒体表示，瑞士可以在 9 到 12 个月内为乌克兰-俄罗斯边境地区的维和任务提供约 200 名士兵。
苏斯利解释说，必须区分执行和平与维护和平行动的区别。执行和平任务需要通过武力来强制和平，瑞士不会这么做！维护和平需要停火，并且需要俄罗斯和乌克兰同意部署联合国维和部队。
