卡斯特罗在社媒晒出他俩的合影并配文介绍写道：“在葡萄牙时我们是队友，17年后我们以教练身份在中国相聚。”
本月上旬，青岛红狮俱乐部官宣米格尔-卡斯特罗出任一线队技术总监。球员时期，他曾与于大宝在葡萄牙阿维斯体育俱乐部共同效力。
