2月12日，小米食堂发布了一则海报，并配文“限定汤圆，有的兄弟有的”。此前，小米创创始人、董事长兼CEO雷军在微博预告，将于元宵当晚，在小米食堂做一场直播，边吃边聊。对于为什么选择小米食堂，雷军表示：“很多网友特别关心小米员工吃什么，而且菜品特别丰富、还特别好吃。”
