北京时间2月7日，NBA名记Shams Charania和Brian Windhorst联合报道，本-西蒙斯即将与布鲁克林篮网队完成合同买断，成为一名自由球员。
据悉，本-西蒙斯将于美国时间周五开始与骑士队和快船队会面，以确定自己的去向。
另据NBA记者Chris Haynes跟进报道称，西蒙斯还将与火箭进行会面。
本赛季，本-西蒙斯代表篮网出战33场比赛，场均出战25分钟，可以得到6.2分5.2篮板6.9助攻。
