曼城主教练瓜迪奥拉表示，队长凯尔-沃克已经在不久前提出了离队申请。
凯尔-沃克在英格兰足总杯第三轮主场8-0击败索尔福德城的比赛中没有进入大名单，瓜迪奥拉在赛后新闻发布会上对此给出了解释：“好吧……两天前，凯尔要求探索出国踢球并结束职业生涯的选择。”
本赛季截至目前，凯尔-沃克已经代表曼城在各项赛事当中有过18次出场，其中11次首发。
