当地时间1月10日，日本中国电力公司重新开始了位于岛根县松江市岛根核电站2号机组的商业运行。这是该机组自2012年1月因定期检查停运以来的首次重启商业运行。
2024年12月7日，岛根核电站2号机组在停运十余年后，重新启动。
