蒲牢龙之四子，其母为蟾蜍，形似龙，蜿蜒盘曲，体型较小，全身鳞甲，吼声洪亮。素畏鲸鱼，鲸鱼击蒲牢，受惊则吼叫，其声震情妖邪，寓意吉祥高升。门上悬挂或佩戴蒲牢饰品，以求平安顺利。洪钟常雕蒲牢，作提梁兽组，敲钟木杵，作鲸鱼形状，模拟鲸鱼击蒲牢，助钟声响入云霄，专声独远。
