半导体制造设备大厂东京威力科创斥资20亿新台币建设的“台南营运中心”，于12月3日在南科启用，将就近提供台积电在内的半导体客户的技术服务。东京威力科创是亚洲最大半导体制造设备商Tokyo Electron (TEL) 台湾子公司。总裁张天豪表示，台南营运暨维修中心楼高六层，总面积约3.5万平方公尺，可容纳千余名员工。（台湾经济日报）
