南水北调中线水源公司介绍，近年丹江口水库Ⅰ类水质天数均在200天以上。其中，2021年252天，2022年206天，2023年335天；2024年截至11月1日，Ⅰ类水质已有228天。
主要入库河流的水质也明显稳中向好，水质Ⅰ类的河流占比持续上升。
