背景介绍：据美国之音网站10月26日报道，基里巴斯总统塔内希·马茂当日在选举中获胜，赢得第三个总统任期。马茂现年64岁，拥有澳大利亚昆士兰大学硕士学位，先后在基里巴斯财政和经济发展部、商工和合作部任职，2007年进入议会，2016年代表关爱基里巴斯党竞选总统并获胜，担任基里巴斯总统至今。
