In the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the desolate deserts, gobi, and barren lands are treasure troves of solar and wind energy resources. As a result, large-scale wind power and photovoltaic power stations favor these “uninhabited areas”.
Nowadays, young people are making significant contributions to the development of large-scale wind and photovoltaic power bases. In wind farms such as the one in Shisanjianfang, Hami, a group of young people in their twenties are dedicated to the wind-storage integrated project. At photovoltaic power stations, young professionals like Ma Fuyuan are committed to clean energy. Additionally, in power transmission projects like Tianshan Converter Station, young people are safeguarding the “Power Silk Road” and playing crucial roles in promoting the development and utilization of new energy.
