总台记者当地时间10月7日获悉，飓风“海伦妮”在美国导致的死亡人数已上升至至少235人。
“海伦妮”已经成为2005年“卡特里娜”飓风以来，导致美国本土大陆致死人数最多的飓风。2005年，“卡特里娜”飓风造成美国至少1833人死亡。（总台记者 赵淼）
