After decades of constructing ecological safety barriers and implementing numerous treatment projects, a Tibetan research team has employed various technical skills to transform former deserts into green landscapes. Today, the ecological assessment results are favorable, indicating a continuous trend of positive ecological development.
Wang Xiaodan, Director of the Ecological Environment and Development Research Office of Tibet, stated that by 2030, upon completing the ecological security barrier project, the overarching goals of "effective protection, successful governance, stability and well-being, and ecological security" will be largely achieved.
"The task of building a robust ecological security barrier must continue to progress. The ecological environment of the plateau is extremely fragile, making the construction of these barriers a systematic and complex undertaking with long-term and challenging characteristics. We must persevere and sustain our efforts over time to achieve lasting success," he added.
