按照市政府相关安排，自2024年8月1日起，持《中华人民共和国退役军人优待证》《中华人民共和国烈士、因公牺牲军人、病故军人遗属优待证》优待对象在太原市行政区域内免费乘坐地铁。
根据市政府通过的相关实施细则，优待对象乘坐地铁时，需前往服务台出示优待证，经工作人员核验后，换取免费地铁票乘坐地铁。
