该媒体人表示：“之前球队并没有留下他的优先续约权，看来双方谈得不错。”鲍威尔常规赛出场46次，场均29.7分钟，能贡献25.5分7.1篮板6.3助攻1.3抢断；季后赛出场2次，场均40.0分钟，能贡献26.5分8.5篮板9.0助攻。他进入了上赛季CBA常规赛最佳国际球员阵容。
