小米创始人雷军此前在X平台发文称，小米 Redmi Pad Pro平板电脑将推出5G版，支持插入5G SIM卡来使用移动网络，并且支持网络共享，可一键连接至手机网络热点。
这款5G平板日前已经通过国内工信部入网许可，型号为24074RPD2C，有望在近期上市。Redmi Pad Pro平板发布于今年4月，搭载12.1英寸2.5K大屏，骁龙 7s Gen2处理器，还配备10000mAh电池，支持33W快充，运行小米澎湃HyperOS系统，可搭配触控笔+键盘保护壳使用。
