当地时间2月29日，在WTA250奥斯汀站第二轮比赛中，中国球员、6号种子王曦雨以6-1、6-2轻松战胜塞门尼斯塔娅，今年第二次跻身巡回赛八强。
王曦雨将在1/4决赛迎战3号种子柯林斯，后者以4-6、7-6(3)、6-0逆转沃利内茨。至此，本站比赛有三位中国球员晋级八强，分别是袁悦、王雅繁和王曦雨。袁悦和王雅繁将在1/4决赛相遇，争夺一张半决赛门票。
