位于化州市长岐镇西湾村举行了一场竹篙火盛会。当地村民集中在广场上燃烧火把环村巡游祈福纳祥，现场场面震撼气氛热烈。
据史志记载，这一习俗在当地已有300多年历史，是为纪念古时四位侠义兄弟为西湾村驱逐匪徒行侠杖义善举延伸而来的活动，并在每年正月初八年例当天举办竹篙火环村巡游。
