据央视新闻，当地时间8月2日下午，泰国远进党秘书长柴塔瓦接受媒体采访时表示，曾经由远进党牵头组建的“八党联盟”签署的合作备忘录已不复存在。至于是否还会投票支持为泰党总理候选人，柴塔瓦表示，当天举行了党内会议让议员们充分表达意见，3日将会作出党内决议。
