3月7日，《华尔街日报》消息，据知情人士透露，演员兼制片人Tyler Perry表示，有兴趣从Paramount Global手中收购BET Media Group的多数股权。Perry和Paramount有着长期的合作关系。这位媒体大亨拥有自己的制作工作室，他与Paramount达成了一项为Paramount创作节目的整体协议，并拥有Paramount旗下BET+流媒体服务的少数股权。知情人士说，Perry与Paramount进行谈判之际，Paramount正考虑出售其在BET Media Group的多数股权，其中包括有线电视频道BET和VH1。
