据传2009年2月，在海参崴纳霍德卡港海域以非法通过俄海域名义，向满载大米的中国货轮新星号炮击，并多次机枪扫射，造成货船沉没并开火击沉救生艇，导致中国船员8人死亡失踪的肇事者俄罗斯远东第二边防营在马林卡被全部击毙。该消息有待核实，又传该边防营是满族营。
