壳牌1月6日公布2022年第四季度运营情况，报告显示，由于英国加征暴利税，公司预计将额外支付20亿美元的税款。
去年11月，英国新一届政府上台后发布了第一份预算案。预算案决定，从2023年1月1日起至2028年3月，将对能源企业征收的暴利税从25%提高至35%，以资助该国为家庭年度能源账单提供的补助。
