Holds the First Meeting of the Fourth Editorial Board

2022年12月22日，《城市规划（英文版）》(China City Planning Review，简称CCPR）第四届编委会第一次工作会议线上举行，14位编委以及编辑部5位编辑参加会议。

On Dec. 22, 2022, the First Meeting of the Fourth Editorial Board of China City Planning Review (abbreviated as CCPR hereinafter) was held online, with the attendance of 14 Editorial Board members and 5 executive editors.

会议由CCPR副主编、清华大学建筑学院毛其智教授主持。CCPR副主编、中国城市规划学会副理事长兼秘书长石楠首先宣读了中国城市规划学会“关于《城市规划（英文版）》更换主编人选的批复”，宣布经中国城市规划学会六届一次常务理事会审议，同意由清华大学教授庄惟敏院士担任《城市规划（英文版）》主编，并简要介绍了庄惟敏院士的履历。随后，CCPR新任主编、中国工程院院士、清华大学建筑学院庄惟敏教授简短致辞，表示未来将协同编委会同仁全力以赴做好杂志办刊工作，并宣布第四届编委会的组成，名单如下：

The meeting was chaired by Prof. Mao Qizhi, School of Architecture, Tsinghua University, and CCPR Associate Chief Editor. Shi Nan, CCPR Associate Chief Editor and Vice President and Secretary General of the Urban Planning Society of China (abbreviated as UPSC hereinafter), firstly announced the “UPSC Approval of the Replacement of Chief Editor of China City Planning Review” that, after the consultation of the First Session of the UPSC Sixth Standing Council, it was agreed that Prof. Zhuang Weimin from School of Architecture, Tsinghua University would be appointed as the Chief Editor of CCPR. He then briefly introduced Zhuang’s biography. Afterwards, the new Chief Editor of CCPR, Prof. Zhuang Weimin, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, made a brief remark to express his determination of doing his best to run the journal in collaboration with the Editorial Board. He then announced the composition of the Fourth Editorial Board of CCPR as follows:

杂志执行主编兼编辑部主任刘健从纸质期刊出版、新媒体运营、数据库收录、稿件处理、队伍建设等方面，介绍了编辑部在2021和2022年度的工作概况，从参与审稿和投稿两方面介绍了两年中编委会委员所付出的辛勤工作，并汇报了编辑部在未来两年的工作计划。在2021和2022年度，编辑部克服疫情带来的种种困难，通过特邀专家进行专题约稿组稿、作为支持媒体对中国城市规划学会二级学术委员会学术活动进行专题报导和专辑策划，显著提高了杂志刊出文章的原创性，同时加大新媒体运营对学术文章的中英文推送，有效扩大了杂志的吸引力和影响力，继续保持被CSCD、知网、EBSCO、ProQuest等中外数据库收录，并连续两年入选《世界期刊影响力指数（WJCI）报告》。

Prof. Liu Jian, CCPR Managing Chief Editor & Editorial Department Director, briefly reported the performance of the CCPR Editorial Department in 2021 and 2022, including the publications of the journal, the operation of CCPR Weibo and WeChat Official Account, the indexing of the journal, the management of manuscript processing, the team building of the Editorial Department, etc. She also reported the involvement of the Editorial Board members in the past two years in the fields of peer review and paper contribution, as well as the work plan for the next two years. Specifically, in the years of 2021 and 2022, the Editorial Department overcame the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and greatly improved the originality of the publications by way of inviting experts to organize solicited manuscripts and making special reports on the academic activities of the second-level academic committees of the UPSC. In addition, the Editorial Department promoted the posting of published papers in both English and Chinese on new media platforms, which effectively improved the attractiveness and influence of the journal. Meanwhile, the journal continued to be indexed in Chinese and foreign databases such as CSCD, CNKI, EBSCO, and ProQuest, and was also listed by the World Journal Clout Index (WJCI) Report for the two consecutive years of 2021 and 2022.

随后，与会编委围绕“如何提高和扩大杂志影响力”建言献策，提出了很多富有建设性的建议和意见。编委们认为，CCPR要进一步明确杂志定位，使其成为海内外共同探讨规划议题的平台，充分利用学会的组织资源和多媒体资源，更好地发挥学会会刊的优势，加大杂志对外宣传力度，丰富栏目和文章类型。

In the following session, the Editorial Board members contributed their ideas on "how to improve and expand the influence of the journal" and put forward a few constructive suggestions and opinions. They believed that CCPR should further clarify its unique positioning as a platform for experts from both home and abroad to share and to discuss planning issues, make full use of the organizational resources and multimedia resources of the UPSC, in particular the advantages of being the official journal of the UPSC, strengthen external publicity, and enrich columns and types of content.

主编庄惟敏院士进行了总结发言。他指出，在当前国际环境和社会经济背景下，中国杂志媒体力求秉承国际化思路推进期刊提升和宣传推广，是一项具有挑战性的工作；CCPR作为中国城市规划学会唯一的英文杂志，有着优秀的工作基础，要代表学会传达中国城市规划的声音和价值观；在第四届编委会成立之际，CCPR将走上新的发展阶段，需要站在新的高度，将以往的经验发扬光大，在坚守学术责任的同时勇敢迎接新的挑战。他表示，非常有信心与第四届编委及编辑部同仁一起，努力推进杂志未来的各项工作。

Academician Zhuang Weimin, CCPR Chief Editor, pointed out in his closing remark that, under the current circumstances of international situations and socio-economic development, it was a challenge for Chinese journals to improve their quality and publicity in line with internationalization strategies. As the only English journal of the UPSC, CCPR had a sound foundation to convey the voices and values of Chinese urban planning on behalf of the UPSC. At the time when the Fourth Editorial Board of CCPR was established and the journal was going to enter a new stage of development, we, standing at a new height, needed to carry forward its experience and faced up to new challenges while adhering to its academic responsibilities. He claimed that he was confident in advancing the work of the journal by working together with all the members of the Fourth Editorial Board and the Editorial Department as well.
