12月28日，中国石化集团经济技术研究院发布《中国能源展望2060》报告。报告指出，中国能源转型在协调发展情景下，天然气发展将经历稳健增长期、碳达峰发力期、稳步达峰期和平稳下降期。
报告提及，预计2025年，天然气需求量4300亿立方米，年均增长5%；2030年，天然气需求量5190亿立方米，年均增长4%；2040年，天然气需求量6155亿立方米，年均增长1.7%，天然气消费达峰。
