这是俄罗斯国防工业相关官员的第二起离奇死亡事件。马斯洛夫于 2004 年 11 月 5 日被任命为地面部队总司令，并于 2006 年被授予陆军上将军衔。2008年8月1日，他成为俄罗斯联邦驻布鲁塞尔北约首席军事代表。2011年退休。
