公开资料显示，侯艳琪，女，1970年3月生，祖籍山西，出生地天津，文学硕士。她曾任外交部亚洲司一秘、处长，外交部涉外安全事务司处长，外交部亚洲司参赞，外交部亚洲司副司长，2018年出任中国驻尼泊尔特命全权大使。
此前担任中国驻东盟大使的是邓锡军。
