IT之家 11 月 21 日消息，今年 6 月，微软 GitHub 宣布将停用 Atom 文本编辑器，并将于 2022 年 12 月 15 日归档该组织下的所有项目。
近日，Atom 推出了 v1.63.0 版本，官方宣布这将是 Atom 的最后一个版本，主要进行了一些 Bug 小修补。
IT之家了解到，Atom 是由 GitHub 开发的自由及开放源代码的文字与代码编辑器，于 2014 年上线了首个版本，目前支持 macOS、Windows 和 Linux 操作系统，支持 Node.js 所写的插件，并内置由 Github 提供的 Git 版本控制系统。
不过，随着 GitHub 被微软收购，以及多年来新的基于云的工具出现和发展，Atom 社区的参与度显著下降，GitHub 决定停用该文本编辑器，IT之家小伙伴可以使用微软 Visual Studio Code 等工具替代使用。
